OSHA and Infection Control Coordinator
The OSHA and Infection Control Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization’s OSHA and infection control programs in partnership with key leaders. This role involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks to the organization while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. The OSHA and Infection Control Coordinator will work with a team of professionals, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide strategic guidance to key leadership. This role will be a hybrid of remote and traveling to multiple locations between states in the North East.
Salary Range - $28.00-$38.00/hourKey Responsibilities:
Risk Management -
- Develop and implement a framework that identifies, asses, and mitigates OSHA and infection control risk areas across the organization
- Conduct regular assessments and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of controls and identify potential vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with the clinical leadership to develop risk mitigation strategies and action plans
Incident Management & Response -
- Lead the organization’s response to violations or infection outbreaks, including root cause analysis, resolution, and reporting
- Coordinate with the Director of Hygiene and the Director of Risk and Compliance, and clinical departments to audit, and manage incidents and mitigate impacts
Policy Development & Implementation -
- Develop, review, and update policies and procedures to reflect best practices and regulatory changes
- Ensure that all employees are aware of and adhere to OSHA and infection control policies through training and communication programs
- Monitor the effectiveness of policies and make recommendations for improvement
Training & Awareness -
- Develop and implement training programs to educate employees about OSHA and infection control topics
- Help promote a culture of compliance and risk awareness throughout the organization
- Ensure that employees understand their roles and responsibilities in managing infection control risk and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations
Audit & Assurance -
- Coordinate internal audits related to OSHA and infection control, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings
- Work closely with the clinical leadership team to ensure alignment between audit findings and resolutions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- Proven experience in quality control or assurance within a healthcare environment
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, epidemiology, OSHA regulations, and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent data management skills with the ability to analyze complex information effectively
- Exceptional organizational skills with acute attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Prior experience in the dental industry is not required, but is a strong plus
